My deepest sympathies to the Elling family. I worked with Nate at CBMU 202. Nate was a Seabee through and through. Loved leading junior troops and sharing his wealth of knowledge with them. He was always good for a laugh and brought a smile to everyone he came in contact with. To the Elling family May god bless you in this time of sorro. God Speed Seabee.

Had the honor of working with Nate the last few years of his Navy career before he retired and he was always there to get the job done and exemplified the Can-Do Seabee attitude! Prayers to the Elling family during this difficult time.

Janet, I am so sad and sorry to hear this. Nathan was the cutest and sweetest little boy. I remember him and my brother Tonny playing in the creek behind the house nearly every day. He was such a character. He grew up into a very handsome man. Mt heart goes out to all of you. May he find Tommy in heaven and the two catch up on fishing and catching crawdads. God bless you and the family.

I am so sorry for your loss. He was a good man and loved by many. I served with him at CBMU 202, and he always made people feel welcomed. I can speak for many of us in the Seabee community, we loved him like a brother and will miss him greatly. If you need anything, please let me know.

There are no words to ease the pain of such a tremendous loss. I am proud to be a cousin to Nathan. I know how it feels to lose a son, not supposed to be that way. I know that Nathan is in good hands with Buster. I bet them two are already in the boat with lines in the water. We all are thankful for Nathan's service and to have had him in our lives. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
