Nancy Lee Moss Hollingsworth, 85, of Victoria, died July 21, at her home. Ms. Hollingsworth was a graduate of Mehlville High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington University. She retired from the Jefferson-Franklin Community Action agency as a social service worker.

She was a G-Man’s (FBI Agent) daughter, a student of Meglin’s Dance Studio in the 1930’s (Shirley Temple was a product of Meglin’s) and grew up an only child who later raised 10 children. She believed strongly in women’s rights and was actively involved in the ERA movement of the 1970’s. She loved nature and was a member of the Missouri Mycological Society (Mushroom Enthusiasts). She enjoyed historical reenactments and was a member of the 9th Missouri Sharpshooters. She was a trusted friend and role model to countless women.

Born October 26, 1932 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Judge Herbert K. Moss and Katherine Claire (Halberstadt) Moss of Hillsboro. She was married to Daniel Brunson Hollingsworth, and they shared 10 surviving children; six sons: William Strother (Kim) Hollingsworth II of Aiea, Hawaii, Herbert Moss (Jane) Hollingsworth of Imperial, John Hampton (Carol) Hollingsworth of DeSoto, Diomede Franklin (Jill) Hollingsworth of Victoria, James Walter (Alex) Hollingsworth of St. Louis and Thomas Eagleton (Misty) Hollingsworth of Victoria; four daughters: Sallie Strother (Jim) Meine of Hillsboro, Katherine Julia (Doyl) Chilton of DeSoto, Amby Lee (Mike) Mafort of Hillsboro and Mary Susan (Sharon) Hollingsworth of Bonne Terre; a sister Sarah Moss Hamilton and a nephew David Herbert Hamilton of Imperial and a stepson Chance Daniel (Christy) Hollingsworth of St. Louis; 28 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by former husband Daniel Brunson Hollingsworth, grandson Skyler Charles McDonald, and great-grandson Phoenix Mason.
