Mildred M. Klaus was born March 31, 1925 in Potosi, MO. She was the daughter of Stephen Eli and Mary Josephine (nee Pashia) DeClue. She died on June 20, 2012 at her residence in De Soto, MO at the age of 87 years 2 months 20 days. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Nelson Klaus, Sr., De Soto, MO; children, Dr. Nelson (Vicki) Klaus, Jr., Wilmington, N.C., Jacquelyn (Rich Filer) Moran, Crystal City, MO, James (Gina) Klaus, De Soto, MO, and Debra (Kevin) Govero, Cape Girardeau, MO; one sister, Ann Short, Potosi, MO; grandchildren, Dr. Nelson Klaus, III, Kirsten Jackson, Emily Moran, Brandon Klaus, Brian Klaus, and Koby Klaus; great-grandchildren, Preston, Collin, and Maci Klaus. She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sharon Klaus; son-in-law, Rick Moran; siblings, Fabian, Tom, Leonard, and Ed DeClue; Doreen Crump, Lena McBride, Marie Suiter, Genevieve Crump, Eunice Bradley, and Ellen Daugherty. Mildred was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, De Soto, MO. A special thank you to her caregivers Judi and Amanda Dressel.
