Mildred Marie Hawkins was born in Sullivan on May 6, 1922 a daughter to Emil and Clara Lena (nee Charboneau) Sohn. She died March 6, 2015 at the Villa’s in De Soto at age 92. She is survived by her son: Gregory Kevin (Belinda) Hawkins , De Soto; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Herman Hawkins; two sons: H. Gail Hawkins and Gordon L. Hawkins; a grandson: Richard Jennings Hawkins; three sisters: Bertha Thurmond, Garrie Simpson, and Ora Hawkins; and six brothers: Vester Sohn, Edgar Sohn, Renick Sohn, Lester Sohn, Ernest Sohn, and William Sohn. Bro. Wayne Gibson, Pastor of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church will officiate the services.
