Matilda Ann “Tillie” Allen was born in Richland, IN on October 8, 1933 a daughter to William F. and Ellen (nee Metcalf) Harris. She died at her De Soto home on October 3, 2023 at the age of 89. She is survived by her children: William C. (Kathy) Allen, Newburg, IN, Alvin E. “Gene” (Deborah) Allen, De Soto, Deborah Allen, De Soto, Curtis ( the late Suzy) Allen, De Soto and Michael (Rachel) Allen, Kokomo, IN; 19 grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her step mother Mildred Imogene Harris; her husband William C. Allen; a son Gilbert Allen; three grandchildren Leslie Russell, Marty Hilderbrand and Brandy Helms and a brother George M. Harris. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
