Marion John Politte was born April 8, 1928 in Cadet, MO a son to Joseph and Edges (nee Boyer) Politte. He died in St. Louis County on June 10, 2017 at Delmar Gardens South at the age of 89. A United States Army Veteran he was involved in several business ventures including; Ozark Mining, Ozark Mobile Home Transport and the Ivy Lounge. He is survived by his wife, Helen Marie (nee Schmidt) Politte, De Soto, MO; three sons, Gary Politte, De Soto, MO, Glen (Debra) Politte, Hillsboro, MO, Greg (Deanna) Politte, Chesterfield, MO; eight grandchildren: Craig, Josh, Dustin, Ashley, Chase, Cole, Carson, and Peyton; one sister: Jeannie (the late Calvin) Smith, De Soto, MO; and one sister-in-law: Veda Politte, Bellevue, WA; he is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Geraldine (Aloysius “Hoot”) Mercille, Burnetta (Ralph) Boyer, and Elderine (Anthony) Daughtery; and five brothers: Willard (Rachel) Politte, Joseph (Dorothy) Politte, Zeno (Irene) Politte, Charles T. (Helen) Politte, and Larry Politte. He was a 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus and also a member of AmVets Posts #48 and B.P.O.E. #689.
