M. James “Jim” Harston was born November 16,1918 in Picher, OK. He was the son of Robert F. and Hattie Maude (nee Belk) Harston. He died on September 12, 2012 at The Villa’s in De Soto, MO at the age of 93 years 9 months and 27 days. He is survived by his daughter, Nancee (the late John) Bourisaw, De Soto, MO; one son, Ken Harston, Hillsboro, MO; one sister, Nadine Christopher, De Soto, MO; one brother, Donald Harston, St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Jason (Kristi) Bourisaw and James (Heather) Bourisaw; five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret F. (nee Gibbons) Harston; siblings, Roy, Harold, and Francis Harston; and Josephine Rulon. M. James was a veteran in the U.S. Army during WWII, he was also a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, De Soto, MO.
