Louis Donald “Duck” Arndt was born October 16, 1935 in St. Louis, MO. He was the son of Louis and Daisy (nee Eaton) Arndt. He died on April 24, 2013 in Springfield, Illinois at the age of 77 years 6 months 8 days. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ellen Fay (nee Graham) Arndt, Hillsboro, MO; grandson, Donald Wayne Arndt; sisters, Edith “Mitzi” (Byron) Byers, De Soto, MO and Sandra “Sandy” (John Maness) Paul, De Soto, MO; brother-in-law, John (Fonda) Graham, Festus, MO. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Donald Leroy Arndt; siblings, Leroy Arndt, Muriel Rupkey, Allen “Budz” Arndt, and Mary Jo Arndt; step-brother, Bob Arndt. Duck was one of the original 13 members of the Saddle Tramps; he also was a member of Laborers Local #42.
