Lilburn E. Huskey was born in De Soto on March 5, 1929 a son to Ernest L. and Virdie “Marie” (nee Patterson) Huskey. He died at Mercy Hospital Jefferson on June 13, 2018 at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou (nee O’Shea) Huskey, De Soto; one daughter Linda (Rick) Britton, De Soto; one granddaughter Kindra (Michael) Britton-Statler, De Soto; three sisters: Genevieve (Ollie) Shoults, Hematite, Nellie (Herbert) Caldwell, Festus, and Alice (John) Robertson, Casper, WY; one brother James (Pam) Huskey, Billings, MT and one brother-in-law Floyd Thebeau, De Soto. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Juanita Thebeau and her husband Homer and Hazel Thebeau; and one brother Donald Huskey. He was a SGT. in the U. S. Army and veteran of the Korean War and had retired from the parts department of the General Motors Assembly Plant in Hazelwood. As an expression of sympathy memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
