Lawrence C. Record was born March 11, 1927 in Richwoods a son to John C. and Mary (nee Greenlee) Record. He died at his De Soto home on April 14, 2012 at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Veronica (nee Ponzar) Record; two daughters: Beverly Record, Great Falls, Montana and Debora Politte, Florissant; 6 grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings: Leona Armstead, Opal Feltz, Charlott Record, Trever Record, Bessie Watkins, Eunice Feldt, Bernice Haule, Raymond Record, and Lyttel Record. After his retirement as a carman with the Missouri Pacific Railroad he drove a bus for Mid-America Coach and also was a courier for Eagle Bank. He also served in the Army during World War II. Bro. Bob Thebeau, Pastor of the First Free Will Baptist Church-De Soto will officiate the service with interment with military honors to follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery, De Soto. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Jefferson Regional Medical Center Hospice Program.
