Lawrence Dale Capehart was born in St. Louis on October 27, 1929 a son to Herman Dale and Margaret (nee Marlowe) Capehart.  He died at his De Soto home on December 1, 2019 at the age of 90.  He is survived by his wife Laura (nee Crowe) Capehart; five children: Richard (Linda) Capehart, O’Fallon, Steven (Debbie) Capehart, St. Peter’s, Sandy (Ed) Kennedy, St. Charles, Lisa (Rudy) Semar, O’Fallon, and Gary (Michelle) Capehart, Troy; three step-daughters: Mandy (James) Kenum, De Soro, Patty (Steve) Small, Imperial, and Sherry (Kit) Clark, Baldwin, KS; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a special nephew Dennis (Linda) Mayberry, De Soto.  He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister Katherine “Kay” Mayberry; and two brothers: David Capehart and Dick Capehart.  Dale was a truck driver and a member of Teamsters Local #618.  He served in the Naval Reserves and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, De Soto.
