Larry James Micke was born in De Soto on November 15, 1943 a son to Frank H. and Dorothy E. (nee Sansoucie) Micke He died at his Festus home on January 25, 2023 at the age of 80. Larry served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked as a machinist in the aerospace industry having retired form Marlo Coil. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He is survived by his wife Carol (nee Edelman) Micke; two children: Kriston (Nathan Reynolds) Micke, Festus and Cory (Cassie Williams) Micke, De Soto; four grandchildren: Allyana Reynolds, Tyler Reynolds, Tristan Farrah and Castille Micke; two step sons: Steve (Marla) Latham, Festus and Jeff Latham, De Soto; eight step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren; two brothers Raymond Micke, De Soto and Glen (Debbie) Micke, De Soto and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister Ruth Micke and a brother Gary Micke. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
