Kenneth Earl Gibson, Jr. was born August 11, 1941 in St. Louis, MO. He was the son of Kenneth E. Sr. and Ethel (nee O’Connor) Gibson. He died on February 24, 2016 at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto, MO at the age of 74 years. He is survived by one son, Dan Gibson, Catawissa, MO, two daughters, Tammy (Tim) Siekmann, Londonderry, NH and Kathy Gibson, Costa Mesa, CA; two step-sons, Jeff Cresswell, Hillsboro, MO and Jeremy (Kelly) Cresswell, Clovis, NM; six brothers, Ron (Kim) Gibson, De Soto, MO, Jerry (Chris) Gibson, Branson, MO, Michael Gibson, Sioux Falls, SD, Robert Gibson, Sioux Falls, SD, William Ray (Marie) Smith, Philippines and Bud Parkhust, De Soto, MO; four sisters, Tina (David) Lawson, Spring Hill, Fl, Sheilah (Andy) Hahn, De Soto, MO, Donna Smith, De Soto, MO; and Debbie (Harold) Silva, Oahu, HI; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; other family members are Donna Gibson and the late Ruby Gibson, De Soto, MO; he is preceded in death by his parents. Ken served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of AmVets Post #48.
