- Entombment: Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
Judy Kathryn Burkeen Rice was born in St. Louis on April 10, 1945 a daughter to James Godfry and Marie Boyer. She died on February 14, 2021 at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson at the age of 75. She is survived by her children: Jimmie Ray (Trisha) Burkeen, Jr., De Soto, Michael (Lisa) Burkeen, Springfield, MO, Douglas Burkeen, Herculaneum, Christy (Stacy) Ward, Desloge, and Ruth (David) Reece, Potosi; nine grandchildren: Jimmie Ray (Julie) Burkeen, III, Michael E. Burkeen, Christopher Burkeen, Robert Burkeen, Kegan (Allison) Ward, Kolden (Christina) Ward, Megan Reece, Chastity Reece, and Hunter Reece; six great grandchildren: Annabel Burkeen, Luca Burkeen, Ella Ward, Kyrie Burkeen, Aidin Burkeen, and Ethan Burkeen; two sisters Lola Boyer and Louise Caldwell and one brother Michael Boyer. She is preceded in death by her grandson Alec Burkeen; three sisters: Mary Boyer, Octavia Pilger and Doris Chandler and three brothers: James Boyer, Jerry Boyer and Elton Boyer. Judy enjoyed reading her Bible, journaling, listening to music, and collecting nik naks. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church De Soto Operation Christmas Child 2000 Grace Way De Soto, MO 63020.
