John Harold Deaton was born September 12, 1952 in St. Louis, MO. He was the son of Harold Lawson and Sarah (Whithouse) Deaton.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice (Lamb) Deaton, De Soto, MO; two children, Jennifer and Mike Deaton; two sisters, Sandra Martin, De Soto, MO and Tammy Deaton, Festus, MO.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Mark Deaton.
John served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
