Joan Claire Copenhaver was born June 8, 1940 in St. Louis, MO. She was the daughter of Jim & Virginia (nee Foerstel) Tegethoff. She died on December 22, 2015 at St. Mary’s Health Center, Richmond Heights, MO at the age of 75 years. She is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Copenhaver, De Soto, MO; one daughter, Christine (Craig) Brewer, De Soto, MO; two sons, Richard (Janet Jachino) Copenhaver, Jr., Hillsboro, MO and Weston (Linda) Copenhaver, Dripping Springs, TX; siblings, Jim Tegethoff, Fenton, MO, Jean (Jim) Goggins, St. Louis, MO, and Joe (Jerry) Tegethoff, St. Louis, MO; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Foerstel, Joan was Co-Owner of Sundown Construction, Sundown Saddle Shop in De Soto & Potosi, Silver Dollar Burger & Shake, De Soto, MO and Westland M.F.A. Gas Station; co-founder of Blanco Cowboy Church, Blanco, TX. She was a Pro-Life Advocate, former member of St. Rose of Lima Church; and a member of Blanco Cowboy Church.
