Jeannette Iola Steffe was born in St. Louis on February 1, 1928 a daughter to Sylvester J. and Antoinette (nee Bartosck) Naumann.  She died on August 26, 2012 at her De Soto home at the age of 84.  She is survived by her children: Ronald (Karen) Steffe, Earleville, MD, Deborah (Farrell) Hasty, Dittmer, and Sharon (Kirwyn) Fortner, De Soto; five grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchildren; six sisters: Barbara O’Neill, St. Louis, Jacqueline Dye, St. Louis, Betty (Buck) Moore, St. Louis, Rosalie (Paul) Provost, St. Louis, Shirley (Ray) Fogg, St. Louis, and Marie Antoinette Nauman, SSND, Sierra Leone, Africa; two brothers Bernard (Pat) Naumann, St. Louis, MO,and  Gene (Jane) Naumann, St. Louis, MO; sister-in-law, Mary Clara Naumann, Florissant, MO.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Sidney S. Steffe; one sister: Miriam Marks; two brothers Donald Naumann, and Kenneth Naumann; one sister-in-law:  Doris Naumann; and two brothers-in-law Jack O’Neill and Harold Dye.  She had retired as a bookkeeper for Schnucks Markets.  Deacon Gene Naumann will officiate with burial to follow at the National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, MO.
