Janet Faye Johnston Ketcherside was born in St Louis on December 2, 1952 a daughter to General and Ottie Mae (nee Thurmond) Johnston. She died on November 20, 2015 at Scenic Nursing Center in Herculaneum at the age of 62. She is survived by her children: Laura (Brad Strange) Ifland, De Soto, Nick (Dr. Angela Hall) Harper, Hillsboro, Charles Ketcherside, Bonne Terre, Dava (Kyle) Jones, Royal Oaks Mich., and Cindy (Mike) Cheuvront, Arlington, TX, two brothers: Larry Johnston, Hillsboro and Ron Johnston, De Soto, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law: Sandra Ketcherside-Heutel, De Soto. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: David Ketcherside; a son: John Ketcherside; one brother: John Johnston; and a sister-in-law: Margaret Johnston. A 1971 graduate of Hillsboro High School she owned and operated Convertible Images Hair Salon in De Soto and also had a cake decorating and novelty candy business. She had also worked as an administrative assistant for Ron’s Glass Company.
