Jack Frederick Atkins, Sr. was born in Fresno, CA on December 28, 1938 a son to Thomas and Jane Viola (nee Morris) Atkins. He died at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson on February 23, 2021 at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife Mary (nee Forrest) Atkins who live in De Soto; four children: Jack F. (Michelle) Atkins, Jr., Bloomington, CA, DeAnna (David) Toller, Myrtle Beach, SC, Sarah (Cory Bicklein) Ingram, De Soto and Kelly Bierbaum, Warrenton; his grandchildren: Bradley Atkins, Branden Atkins, Ashley Atkins, Elizabeth (Tyler) Cook, Tabitha Froschauer,  Cody (Casey) Froschauer, Kaleb Ingram and Owen Ingram; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother Dan (Leni) Atkins and a sister Debbie Grossline. He is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson David Froschauer, Jr. Jack had served in the United States Army and had retired from the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority
