He is survived by his wife, Sam (Susan) Lee, his children, Halvetia Colony (Caleb), Harry Douglas Lee IV, Anna Lee, Trent Osborn, Trey Osborn, his grandchildren, Gwendolynn Colony and Ezekiel Colony, by his mother Alice Lee Zanagro, and his siblings, Robert Lee (Alice), JoAnn Dunn (Bill) and John Lee (Melissa).
His father, Harry Douglas Lee Jr. and sister, Judith Lee Cook have preceded him in death.
Bird lived his childhood in Morse Mill, Missouri where he attended grade school and Jefferson College. In the early 1980’s, Bird made Mississippi his home. He worked at the Firestone in Clinton for several years, but his life’s passion was motorcycles, and he was able to live that out, working at the Harley Davidson of Jackson for over 20 years. Bird has left a lasting impression on the community of Jackson, by serving to others with his knowledge of motorcycles. Bird may have officially retired from Harley Davidson last year, but he still was always around to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a loyal friend, an honorable husband, and a good father.
