Harold Issac “Ike” Gibson was born December 15, 1924 in De Soto, MO. He was the son of Issac H. and Vietta (nee Duperrett) Gibson. He died on April 20, 2016 at Provision Living at Webster Groves in St. Louis, MO at the age of 91 years. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ann (nee Sweet) Gibson, St. Louis, MO; three sons, Richard “Dick” (Sherry) Gibson, Steamboat Springs, CO; David (Dianne) Gibson, Osage Beach, MO; and Charles G. “Pooney” Gibson, Osage Beach, MO; one daughter, Debbie Gibson-Tarlow, De Soto, MO; grandchildren, Dylan (Brieanne) Gibson, Alex Gibson, Aaron (Jessica) Tarlow, Olivia Tarlow, Leslie Gibson, and Christopher Gibson.; He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles Gibson; three sisters, Vietta McKay, Venita Pope; and Virginia Gibson. Harold retired as a mechanic from the Air Force National Guard at Jefferson Barracks; he served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from Air Force. Ike was a life member of Amvets Post #48.
