Gordon Lee Mallery, Sr. was born on May 4, 1936 in De Soto, MO.  He was the son of Marvin R. & Reddie Marie (nee Bailey) Mallery.  He died on March 24, 2020 at the Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO at the age of 83.

On May 7, 1954 Gordon married Wanda Lee Forshee in De Soto, she preceeds him in death.

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Walt) Acklie of Bismark, MO and son Gordon “Boog” (Deana) Mallery, Jr. of Leadwood, MO;  four grandchildren:: Gordon Mallery III, Jessica Weise, Brady Finch, and Taylor Bale; three great grandchildren: Maggie Mallery, Lilly Weise, and Kevin Weise; a sister, Glynis (Marvin) Davis of Naples, FL;  and a brother-in-law, Olan “Bud” (Linda) Farrow of Farmington. Also surviving is his long-time companion Mary Garrison of Versailles, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda, and two sisters, Pauline Harness Missey and Darlene Farrow.

Gordon was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Local 513 Laborer’s Union and he served in the National Guard.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
