- Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, De Soto, MO
Gladys Marie Shoults was born in St. Louis on July 28, 1933 a daughter to William Thomas and Mary Frances (nee Wilkinson) Pierce. She died at her De Soto home on December 23, 2022 at the age of 89. She is survived by two children: Ruth (Richard) Tyarks, De Soto and William “Bill” (Kimberly) Shoults, De Soto; five grandchildren: Susan (Rick) Draper, Holly (Bryant) Roberts, Tina Swinford, Christine Mueller and Daniel Brinkman; thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edward Shoults; a sister Hazel Ruth (Herman) Schroeder and a brother Joseph W. (Dorothy) Pierce. Gladys had retired as a teller for State Bank of De Soto and was a member of De Soto Christian Church. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 4400 Clayton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110.
