Frederick Carl Bopp Jr., age 75, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at his home. He was born November 11, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Lorraine Isabele (nee Bolm) Bopp and the late Frederick Carl Bopp Sr.
He was a 1960 graduate of Fox High School, retired from the Ironworkers Local 396, was a former Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 547, a member of the Plattin-Rock Boat Club, and a long-time member of the Elks Lodge Local 1721 in Festus, Missouri.
He was survived by his wife, Dixie Smith, step children, Josh (Michele) Hogan, Hillsboro, Missouri, Darcy Koch, California, Greer (Patrick) Bellomy, California, Tana (Doug) White, Hillsboro, Missouri, and Wade Smith, Festus, Missouri. He was also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Macey, Madison, and Melaney White; Garrett, Bailea, and Ian Hogan; Jocelyn Smith; Bentley White and Camila Voyles in addition to cousins and many close friends.
Private services were held by the family. Donations can be sent to the Open Door Animal Sanctuary at P.O. Box 870, House Springs, Missouri 63051.
