Freda M. Walz was born on October 19, 1929 in Blackwell a daughter to David and Genevieve (Johnston) Courtway. She passed away on January 29, 2022 in DeSoto at the age of 92. She is survived by her children: David Walz of DeSoto, Nancy (Chuck) Brinkman of DeSoto, and Kathy (Jeff) Johnston of DeSoto; her five grandchildren Jeremy Walz, of Jackson, Kristopher Walz of Jackson, Travis (Rene) Brinkman of Festus, Alex (Lindsey) Brinkman of Festus, and Emily (Kyle) Oshia of DeSoto; and her great grandchildren J.J., Jake, Joey, Khloe, Ethan, David, Layne, and Riley. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dennis Walz: two sons: Thomas Walz and Robert Walz, and her sister Dorothy (Jim) Wilson.
