Franklin Delano Reed was born in Jefferson City, MO on July 25, 1936 a son to Allen Edward and Myrtle May (nee Miller) Reed.  He died on February 22, 2017 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson at the age of 80.  He is survived by his daughter: Amanda “Mandy” (Michael) Reed-Luchtefeld, Hillsboro; one granddaughter: Emma Kindred, Hillsboro; four sisters: Dr. Martha Reed, Hillsboro, Helen Agnello, Hillsboro, Marcella Luechtefeld, Glenco, and Mary Jane (Lloyd) Thebeau, Hillsboro; four brothers: David (Janet) Reed, Hillsboro, Robert “Bob” Reed, Hillsboro, Dr. Leslie (Mary Beth) Reed, Hillsboro, and Roger Reed; and two sisters-in-law: Liz Reed, Hillsboro and Linda Bauman Reed, Hillsboro.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Waltraud “Trudy” (nee Loh) Reed; one sister: Amelia “Dolly” Thomeczek; two brothers: Don Reed and Eugene “Pete” Reed; a sister-in-law: Patricia Ann Reed; and four brothers-in-law: George Hayes, Sal Agnello, Harold Luechtefeld, and Norbert Thomeczek.  He owned and operated Reed Appraisal Service and served in the United States Army and Army Reserve.  As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to: The Goode Life, 74 Francois Drive, Herculaneum, MO  63048.
