Florida Lily Brewster Murphy was born in Ironton, MO on December 27, 1926 a daughter to Arthur and Lily Brewster. She died on March 5, 2016 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center at the age of 89. She is survived by her children: Stephanie M. FitzGerald, Salem, MA, Mary Loretto Mills, Rohnert Park, CA, Lily A. Smith, Hermann, MO, Patricia A. Smith, Newburgh, IN, Liz Murphy-Schwent, Florissant, MO, and Martin J. Murphy, St. Ann, MO; nine grandchildren: Sean Mills, Christian Mills, Melissa Schwent, Amanda Schwent, Grace Smith, Stephanie Johnson-Rodriguez, Tommy Johnson, Hethyr Vest-Smith, and Tiffany Murphy, and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Gianella. Formerly of De Soto she was currrently living in Maryland Heights. She had retired as a teacher in the Pattonville School District. Florida was a member of Eastern Star, a painter and member of the Decorative Arts Society and the Day Lily Society of St. Louis, MO.
