Dovie Mae Kite was born December 26, 1925 in rural De Soto a daughter to John and Ida (nee Able) Kite.  She died at her De Soto home on December 30, 2011 at the age of 86.  She is survived by one sister: Lorraine Puckett, Arnold; one brother: Alvie Kite, Florissant; and a host of nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; and 11 siblings: Darrell Kite, Arl Kite, Vivian Kite, Thalbert Kite, Vernon Kite, Adalia Kite, Ura Kite, Tharrell Kite, Beulah Blazer, Velma Hoyt, and Ila Kite.  She worked as a clerk for Kroger Grocery Stores and was a member of Retail Store Employees/AFL-CIO Local 655.
