Dorothy F. Umfleet was born May 29, 1917 in Bonne Terre a daughter to Anna (nee Bray) and Clarence Cresswell Sr. She died September 17, 2011 at the Shepherd’s View Assisted Living Center in Alton the age of 94. She is survived by her children: Terry (Evelyn) Umfleet, Thayer, Jo Ann Marvel, Lake Ozark, and Noel F. (Naomi) Umfleet, Crocker; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and twenty one great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Noel E. Umfleet; one son: Jerry Umfleet; two sisters: Faye Cresswell and Thelma Parish; three brothers: Theo Cresswell, Clarence Cresswell, Jr. and Gilbert Cresswell. She is a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church and loved her Shepherd’s View family. Interment will be in the Bonne Terre Cemetery.
