Dorothy Jane Filkins was born December 15, 1923 a daughter to H.W. Taplin and Katherine (nee Norton) Taplin Vandergriff. She died January 10, 2007 in Farmington, Mo at the age of 83. She is survived by her husband Frank A. Filkins, two daughters; Joyce (Earl) Boyer and Judy (Wyman) Boyer, four granchildren Michelle Jost, Rich (Jolean) Boyer, Brian (Danielle) Boyer, and Nicole (Larry) Pennock, one brother; Charles (Leola) Taplin, Springfield, MO, two Stepsons; Bob Filkins and Roy Filkins, seven great grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, 9 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Marie Burns and Maxine Henry, and two brothers; Arthur and Gene Taplin.
She was a member of the AmVets Post #48, VFW Post #1831, and BPOE #689 auxiliaries.
