Donald Ray Reed was born August 16, 1932. He was the son of Allen Edward and Myrtle May (nee Miller) Reed. He died on July 3, 2014 at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in Creve Couer, MO at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his wife, Linda (nee Bauman) Reed, Hillsboro, MO; one son, Scott (Carol) Reed, Catawissa, MO; Linda’s children, Nicole (Steve) Krodinger, Festus, MO; and Grant (Terri Jo) Jokerst, Festus, MO; siblings, David (Janet) Reed, Hillsboro, MO; Robert “Bob” Reed, Hillsboro, MO; Dr. Leslie (Mary Beth) Reed Hillsboro, MO; Roger Reed, Hillsboro, MO; Frank Reed, Hillsboro, MO; Dr. Martha Reed, Hillsboro, MO; Helen Agnello, Hillsboro, MO; Marcella Luechtefeld, Glencoe, MO; Mary Jane (Lloyd) Thebeau, Hillsboro, MO; and sister-in-law, Liz Reed, Hillsboro, MO; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Eric, Audrey, Caroline, Brittney, Courtney, Camren, Nicholas, Ella Jo, Eli, and Emery. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia Ann (Thebeau) Reed; one sister, Amelia “Dolly” Thomeczek, and one brother, Eugene “Pete” Reed; brothers-in-law, George Hayes, Sal Agnello, Harold Luechtefeld; and sister-in-law, Trudy Reed. Don was a veteran in the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War. Until his retirement he owend and operated the Consumer Adjustment Company. He was a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge #689; AmVets Post #48; and Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Hillsboro, MO. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
