Derek Joseph AuBuchon was born May 14, 1980 in St. Louis, MO. He was the son of Willis AuBuchon and Carolyn (nee Combs) Pruneau. He died on January 8, 2022 in Hillsboro, MO at the age of 41 years. He is survived by his parents, Willis (Diane) AuBuchon, Festus, MO and Carolyn (Dennis) Pruneau, DeSoto, MO; wife, Stacy (nee Flaningam) AuBuchon, Hillsboro, MO; children, Colin, Alyssa, Tanner, Jacob, and Riley; siblings, Charissa (Phelissa) AuBuchon-Kirkland, Huntington, TN; Allison (Tyler) Lambert, Festus, MO; Laura AuBuchon, Festus, MO; Brandon (Miranda) Pruneau, Hillsboro, MO; Krystle (Tom) Tone, Bryan, TX; father-in-law, Samuel Flaningam, Montgomery, AL; and mother-in-law, Cindy (Dennis) Brown, Pensacola, FL. Derek was a foreman at Thomas Industrial Coatings Inc.; he was a member of Union Painters Local #2341; and he was an organ donor.  Derek enjoyed spending time with his wife, his children, his family, and friends  He enjoyed life and he was full of life. To know Derek was to love him. He was adventurous and spontaneous. He loved music, food, nature, boating, camping and being outdoors.  He was selfless and compassionate and always someone you could trust and count on. Derek was the light of our lives.
