Danny Ray “Bubby” Whitby was born in Festus on December 10, 1965 a son to Dennis and Sandy (nee Gillam) Whitby.  He died at his De Soto home on October 5, 2018 at the age of 52. He is survived by his wife Donna (nee Bechler) Whitby.  Danny and Donna were married on September 15, 1990 in De Soto.  He is also survived by his mother who lives in De Soto; one son  Christopher Whitby, De Soto; one grandson: Jaxton Whitby, De Soto; three sisters: Julie Whitby, De Soto, Lisa (Clayton) Hastings, De Soto and Tina (Mark) Sikes, De Soto; two brothers-in-law:  Deon Tweedy, De Soto and Ed (Marsha) Bechler, De Soto; one sister-in-law: Carol (Bill) Cremer, Centerville, UT; ten nieces and nephews and 13 great-nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his father; one sister: Sheila Tweedy; and his grandparents Harold Gillam, Norma Gillam, Ralph Whitby and Laura Louise Whitby (huband Doug survives) Douglas.  Danny had worked at De Soto McDonalds as well as a bus driver for Head Start and Jefferson R-7 School District. He was a member of the Refuge Church in De Soto.
