Charles S. Rigdon, Jr. was born on December 31, 1940 in Vandalia, IL.  He was the son of Charles S. Rigdon, Sr. & Marcella (nee Whitehead) Rigdon Bauman. He died on March 22, 2021 at Hillcrest Care Center at the age of 80.

Charles is survived by his wife Roberta “Bobbie” (nee Martindale) Rigdon of De Soto; two sons, Charles “P-Nut” (Debra) Rigdon of De Soto and Gary (Tami) Rigdon of De Soto; 1/2 brother, Charles (Ruth) Rigdon of Pana, IL; step-brother, Francis (Marcella) Bauman, Jr . of Vandalia, IL; grandchildren, Sarah Boyer, Jessie Rigdon, Josh Rigdon, Dale Christian II, Destiny Christian, and Cheyanne Myra; 2 great-grandchildren, Shaelyn Dollar and Maci Brown.

Charles served in the United States Navy.  He was the owner and operator  of ABC Auto Body and the De Soto Opry.  He was a member of the Blackwell Lodge 535 A.F. & A.M.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Francis Bauman, Sr. ; one son, Baby Boy Rigdon and one brother, Larry Rigdon.
