Charles Joseph Missey was born on April 3, 1936 in De Soto a son to Charles Joseph and Nora Mary (nee Rulo) Missey. He died at his De Soto home on November 25, 2017 at the age of 81. He is survived by his children: Laura (William A. “Bill”) Duffner, De Soto, Charles Edward “Eddie” Missey, De Soto; Joe (Jenny) Missey, De Soto, and Christel “Chrissy” (Jason Barbey) Hedrick, De Soto, eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and two brothers William (Ella) Rulo, Otto and David Missey, De Soto. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Dorothy I. (nee Bradford) Missey; one sister: Rosemary Dobbs; and three brothers: Ralph Missey, Paul Missey, and Patrick Missey. A member of Plumbers Local #562 Charlie worked for several plumbing companies in De Soto and the St. Louis area. He also owned and operated Missey Plumbing in De Soto.
