Carl Henry “Pete” Keckley was born in Keyser W.V. on August 19, 1936 a son to Carl E. and Virginia J. (nee Shobe) Keckley. He died at NHC-Desloge on November 6, 2020 at the age of 84.  He is survived by his wife Mary Lou (nee Meppiel) Keckley, Bonne Terre. Pete and Mary Lou were married in Las Vegas on March 3, 1962.  Also surviving are his children: Ronald (Cindy) Keckley, Herculaneum and Karin Keckley, De Soto; grandchildren: David P. Keckley, Nolan Keckley and Cody Westover; a great grandson David S. Keckley; three sisters: Mary Miller, Linda Pettibone and Dorothy Elkins; one brother William S. Keckley; and a daughter in law Kathy Keckley. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son David E. Keckley and a daughter Carla Jane Keckley.  Pete was in the United States Marine Corps, retiring after over twenty years of service. He then retired as a mechanic from the North San Diego County Transit District.  He was a life member of Amvets Post #48 and had also been a member of V.F.W. Post #1831 and American Legion Post #253.
