Bernard “Blue” W. Boyer was born on February 16, 1933 in Arnault Branch, MO.  He was one of 16 children of Clarence & Mary (nee Boyer) Boyer.  He died on February 13, 2017 at his home in Hillsboro, MO at the age of 83.

He is survived by his wife, Mary “Loreda” Boyer of Hillsboro, MO; his children, Tammy Varady of De Soto, MO; Timmy (Nancy) Boyer of Park Hills, MO; Marsha Boyer of De Soto, MO; Deanna (Ken) Hotsenpiller of St. Clair, MO; Craig (Kim) Boyer of Potosi, MO; one sister, Lena Mae (Bob) Lee of Lonedell, MO; grandchildren, Randy, Amy, Alex, Greg, Vanessa, Marissa, Brendan, Abigail, Gabrielle, and Noah; great grandchildren, Raegan, Kennedy, Ruby, and Violet.

Blue was a retired construction laborer for the Goodwin Brothers Construction Company.  He served as a Corporal in the United States Army.  He was a member of the AmVets Post #48, Laborer’s Local 110, and a 3rd Degree Member of the Knight’s of Columbus Council #6401.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 14 siblings.
