Barbara Ruth Woodard was born on October 31, 1935 in Eldon a daughter to Irl R. and Lena (nee Hoskins) Hees. She died on May 10, 2022 at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson at the age of 86. She is survived by three sons: Jeff (Pat) Gibson, De Soto, Mark (Peggy) Gibson, De Soto and Rev. Stan (Linda) Gibson, Pacific; two step daughters: Jackie (Kim) Greer and Kathy (Gary) Speidel; ten grandchildren: Josh, Matt, Justin, Jacob, Rebekah, Emily, Scott, Jason, Jamie and Bryan; thirteen great grandchildren with one on the way and one brother Carl Hees, Eldon. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jesse D. “Woody” Woodard; two sisters: Isabelle Williams and Elizabeth Fisher and two brothers Albert Hees and Jack Hees. Barbara had retired from General American Financial Services as a switchboard operator but her most important “job” was being a homemaker for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Pilgrim’s Rest Memorial Gardens, 11441 Ware Church Road, Hillsboro, MO 63050.
