Barbara J. Schoelhamer was born in De Soto on March 30, 1949 a daughter to Charles and Edna (nee Hawkins) Denny. She died on November 22, 2023 at St. Louis University Hospital at the age of 74.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 56 years, Christopher Schoelhamer, Warrenton; 4 children, Christina (Chris) Cosgrove, Brian Schoelhamer, Jason Schoelhamer, and Mandy Schoelhamer; one brother Charles E. “Bill” (Mona) Denny; grandchildren: Justin (Meghan), Evan, Dylan, Zachary, Michael, Emmalee, Aaliyah, Hali, and Trevor; 3 great-grandchildren: Stella, Nora, and Josephine; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Larry D. Denny and Oscar P. (Verta) Denny.
Barbara retired as an LPN. She then worked for SAS (San Antonio Shoe) and the Agape Thrift Store where everyone became her friend. Barb loved her St. Louis Cardinals, Jeopardy, and spending time with her family and animals. Always willing to support when needed but never one to ask for help. Barb had a beautiful selfless soul.
