Annie May Lane was born December 8, 1923 in Columbia, MO a daughter to Joseph Berkley and Margaret (nee Faulkner) Johnson.  She died March 25, 2011 at St. Louis University Hospital at the age of 87.  She is survived by three children: Teresa (Larry) Shepherd, Festus, Debra (Dan) Brown, Troy, and John (June) Lane, Asheville, NC; grandchildren: Jeff (Yvonne) Shepherd, Christina (Matt) Parsons, Caleb (Amy) Brown, Amanda (Guy) Grimstead, Keith Sellers, and Jennifer (Ryan) Campbell; seventeen great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and one brother: J.B. (Nadine) Johnson.  She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Lane;a great-granddaughter Grace Brown; and five siblings: Helen Level, Joseph W. Johnson, Richard Johnson, Robert Johnson, and Mary Johnson.  She had worked as a clerk for Robertson Lumber Company and Dee-Gee’s and Queen’s Markets and was a member of the First Baptist Church-Hillsboro since 1960, V.F.W. #1831 Auxillary, and volunteered with 4-H and the Extension Club. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to First Baptist Church-Hillsboro.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 30 at 2:30pm at the Pleasant Site Cemetery in Fremont, MO.
