Amelia Mae “Dolly” Thomeczek was born May 1, 1924 in Labadie, MO a daughter to Allen Edward and Myrtle May(nee Miller) Reed. She died August 30, 2008 in Crystal City, MO at the age of 84. On July 28, 1945 she married Norbert Roman Thomeczek and to this union five children were born; Rebecca (the late Charles) Goode, Michael (Carol) Thomeczek, Jay (Bill) Thomeczek, Sally (Barrett) Thiele, and Peggy (Jim) Ladd she will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Denise Goode, James (Beth) Goode, Elisha Beth (Terry) Hill, Sarah Thiele, Brett Thiele,and Benjamin Thiele; her great grandchildren Caitlin, Jacob, and Avery Goode, Matthew Pfieffer, Nickolas Paul, Mason and Malia Hill; and her siblings Marcella Luechtefeld, Helen Hayes Agnello, Eugene “Pete” (Liz) Reed, Donald (Linda) Reed, Robert Reed, Franklin Reed, Roger Reed, David (Janet) Reed, Mary Jane (Lloyd) Thebeau, Dr. Martha Reed, M.D., and Dr. Leslie Reed, D.M.V. ; and a dear friend Karen Steinbach Thomeczek. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She was a farm housewife and for the last 10 years worked as a clerk at the Merseal Auction Barn.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the St. Louis Society for the Blind and Visually Impared.
