Alysha L. Sauer, age 48, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at her home in Festus, Missouri surrounded by family after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. She was born on August 18, 1973 to Lynn and Jan Cotner of Jackson, Missouri who survive.

Alysha is survived by her husband of 28 years, Gregory A. Sauer and their 7 children: Stephanie Howard, De Soto, MO, Ashley (Chris) Lindsey, Farmington, MO, Jayme (Charles) Sloper, Festus, MO, Lacey (Lindsey) Stroup, Jackson, MO, Kyle (JerriAnne) Sauer, Festus, MO, Mackenzie Sauer, Festus, MO and Alexis Sauer, Crystal City; 10 grandchildren, Jackson Howard, Haley, Aubrey, Xavier, Layla, Wylla, and Rip Lindsey, Brayden, Jayci, and Cash Sloper.

Her sister, Andrea Cotner of Jackson, MO also survives as do her sisters-in-law Melody Speck, Oakville, MO, Tamara (Mike) Dennis, Robertsville, MO, Trisha (Ray) Burkeen, De Soto, MO, Traysa Sauer, De Soto, MO and Stacy Dahle, Festus, MO and brothers-in-law, Mike (Tracy) Dahle, Tennessee and Stephen Dahle. She was also the niece of Larry Cotner, Miami, Florida. She was an aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Preceded in death by her grandparents, J.T. and Arlene Cotner and Donald and Peggy Fee; uncles, Tim and Kip Fee; and brothers-in-law, Tom Speck, Eugene Sauer III, and Gerald Sauer.

Alysha loved the color red and flip flops which she believed should be worn throughout the year – winter or summer. She also loved, enjoyed and took great pride in her children and grandchildren and her heart was always open to adding more to the family, Alysha co-owned and operated 3 residential care facilities in Jefferson County, Missouri.
