Stephen “John” Carroll was born on July 2, 1963 in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was the son of James Lee and Margaret Ann (nee Dowds) Carroll. He died on December 4, 2025 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson at the age of 62.
John is survived by his wife and life partner, Kathleen (nee Holcomb) Craig of De Soto; his children, Jeanette (Scott) Rice of Plato, MO; Christine (Breydon Schneider) Carroll of De Soto, MO; and Emma (Dion Fortier) Snider of Festus, MO; grandchildren, Gavin, Tyler, Gavin, Nicholas, Lorelei, Mason, Davey, Castiel, Silas and Rosabelle; and one brother: James (Vicky) Carroll, Cape Fair, MO.
John had worked as a printer for Arnold Printing, Swift Printing and Concordia Publishing and also as a mechanic for Cyclone Car Care and most recently had worked for MoDot.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Patricia Haste.
