"Pete" Aloysius Thomas Reando
February 6, 1936 - June 29, 2026
- Visitation on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, with personal eulogies beginning at 7:00 p.m.
- Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church
- Inurnment will take place at the Victoria Cemetery with Military Honors at a later date
Aloysius “Pete” Reando, 90, of De Soto, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on June 29, 2026.
Pete was born on February 6, 1936, in Cadet, Missouri, to the late Walter J. Reando, Sr. and Mary Rose (Catlett) Reando. He proudly served his country in the United States Army before dedicating many years of service to the City of Hillsboro, where he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his beloved friend and soulmate, Judy Morice; his parents; his brothers, Walter Reando, Jr., Tony Reando, and Marion Reando; and his sister, Rosemary Trombley.
Pete is survived by his children, Troy (Cheryl) Reando of Festus, Tonya Crady of Festus, Chris (Tammy) Black of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and Jeff Black of De Soto. He also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with his brother, Donald “Duck” Reando of De Soto, and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Pete’s life during visitation on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, with personal eulogies beginning at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Pete will be laid to rest at Victoria Cemetery at a later date, where he will receive Military Honors in recognition of his faithful service to his country.
As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Food For the Poor Charity.
