Mark Edward Brooks was born in St. Louis on January 25, 1960 a son to Edward and Shirley (nee McDaniel) Brooks. He died at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson on February 28, 2025 at the age of 65.  He is survived by  his mother Shirley Rawson, Festus;  three children: Jessica Brooks, Bonne Terre, Ashley Brooks, Jackson and Steven (Kenzi) Brooks, Fredericktown; his longtime friend and companion Dawn Hackworth; grandchildren: Cadence, Hayden, Rain, Kayleigh, Hagen, Jaxson, Alana, Eli, Jace, Jake, Maeve, Bellamy and Auden; two sisters: Lee (Kenny) Sexton, Pevely and April (Craig) Kettler, Dittmer and a brother Raymond (Dee Dee) Brooks, Dittmer.  He is preceded in death by his father; step mother Joan Brooks; step father George Rawson; his son Dustin Brooks; granddaughter Gracie and sister Rochelle Ashe.  Mark had a servants heart who would do anything for anyone,  especially his family. He served as primary caregiver for his sister Shelly during her extended illness. He was always available to help his mother and loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren and attending their events.  Mark also cherished the annual fishing trips with his father and brother.  He enjoyed riding his Harley and driving his Jeep, hunting and recently became interested in bird watching.
