  • Funeral Mass: Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 11 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church
  • Funeral procession will leave the Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home at 12:30 PM on Friday, July 18, 2025 for a 1:30 PM graveside service with Military Honors at the National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks.

Joseph Glenn Hackney was born on March 2, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the son of Joseph Lynn “Bud” and Lucille (nee Holmes) Hackney. He died on July 12, 2025 at Mercy Hospital South at the age of 76.
Joseph is survived by his wife Linda (nee Brown) Hackney of Dittmer; one sister, Sarah Hackney of Phoenix, AZ and brother, Steven Hackney of Dittmer.
Joseph was retired from IBM as a communication coordinator, he had served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Joe’s passion was working on the family farm.
