Jewell Kathleen (Burge) Angstrom passed away at the age of 92 on November 4, 2025 at Ashbrook Assisted Living in Farmington, MO. Mrs. Angstrom was a homemaker and worked at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City until her retirement. She enjoyed oil painting, baking and decorating her home. She was born April 7, 1933 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of the late Earl Dewey Burge and Bertie Mae (Fowler) Burge.
She is survived by her seven children: Gale Bliss of Festus, Marcia (Bill) Smith of De Soto, Dianne Irwin of De Soto, David Hardin of Kansas City, Julie Hardin of De Soto, Tracey Murray of De Soto, Dewey (Amy) Hardin of Georgia. Seven grandchildren: Dresden (Matt) Stricklin, Burk (Patty) Lipford, Jesse (Emmylou) Irwin, Ryan (Jessie) Murray, Jared (Samantha) Murray, Erin Hardin, and Riley Hardin; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Ethel Burge, sister, Iris Dean Warren, two brothers, Floyd Burge and Ivan Burge, stepsister, Jacqueline Scott, and two stepbrothers, Pete Burpo and Dean Burpo.
A private graveside service will be held at Charter Baptist Church Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
