Henry Ella Haynes, a/k/a “Grandma Florida” 98, of De Soto died peacefully in comfort care at Mercy South on Monday, May 19, 2025. She enjoyed playing Mexican Train dominoes, befriending “snowbirds” from the North while living in Florida, and traveling having been to all 50 states in the US, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, and the Bahamas. Henry Ella was born April 30, 1927 in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Georgia Ann (Loyer) Hurst Wilson and Henry Joseph Hurst. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Roxane “Roxie” (Gibbons) Wright Lane and son Troy Kevin (Lana) Gibbons, Sr. both from De Soto; grandchildren, Tracy (Kelly) Wright, UK; James (Gina) Wright, Hillsboro; Troy (Billie) Gibbons, Jr., Hillsboro; Joshua (Whitney Robinson) Eaker, Belleville, IL; Tabitha Eaker, St. Louis; Sierra (Jason Arbogast) Eaker, De Soto; Sonja (Jeff) Lane Moore Dickerson, Kingsport, TN; and Philip David Lane, Thornton, CO; great-grandchildren, Shelby (Brenden Goforth) Gibbons, De Soto; Jeremy (Jenna) Harman, Hillsboro; Jasper Arbogast, De Soto; Luna Arbogast, De Soto; Philip Moore, Kingsport, TN; Blane Moore, Kingsport, TN and Allison Lane, Thornton, CO; great-great granddaughter, Huntley Harman, Hillsboro; special niece, Donna (Dan) Hurst Goodwin, Festus; sisters-in-law, JoAn Haynes, St. Clair; and Mary Ann (Haynes) Roth, Festus. She is preceded in death by husband, Bobby Haynes, son-in-law, Philip Lane, step-daughter, Carla (Cord) Haynes Eaker, step-father, Stanley Wilson; brothers, Rolland and Vernon Hurst, and a brother-in-law, James Edward Haynes.
