Richard Ray “Rick” Myers was born in Cape Girardeau on August 15, 1950 a son to Richard Raymond and Viola (nee Monie) Myers. He died at his De Soto home on December 5, 2023 at the age of 73. He is survived by two daughters: Heidi Myers, Desloge and Annie Jo (Lee) Freeman, Blackwell, two sisters: Nena (Charles) Nanney, Hillsboro and Robin Haverstick, Dittmer; his grandchildren: Colton (Shannon), Gavin, Kendan, Maddie Jo, Hayden, Hattie, Lilly, Casey (Danny), Trey (Courtney), Brendan (Makayla) and Samantha; great grandchildren: Kylie, Levi, Trinity, Sophia and Trenton; a brother in law Mike Krampf; and a dear friend Regina Kleinstuber; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son Sam Myers and a sister Carla Krampf. A graduate of Hillsboro High School Rick served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After is retirement from Union Pacific Railroad he worked at Meert Tree Farm. A modern day cowboy Rick enjoyed the outdoors and especially hunting and fishing.
