Billy Gene Eichelberger

Billy Gene Eichelberger was born in De Soto on June 25, 1927 a son to Albert and Zenobia (nee Christopher) Eichelberger. He died at the Woodlands of Arnold on November 26, 2022 at the age of 95. A graduate of De Soto High School he served in the United States Navy during World War II. He returned to De Soto upon his discharge from the Navy and married Eva Jean Roussin at Redeemer Lutheran Church in De Soto on August 14, 1948. Billy Gene retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad and then from the Carpenter’s Union. He then went to work for SMCI as well as working for others as a handy man. He was a lifelong member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and enjoyed studying his Bible. He is survived by his wife of 74 years Eva Jean Eichelberger who lives in Arnold; four children: Connie (Edward) Weiss, Hillsboro, Cathy Roach, Knoxville TN, William “Bill” Eichelberger, De Soto and John (Chris) Eichelberger, House Springs; one brother Albert “Coonie” (Florence) Eichelberger, Knoxville, TN and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Albert Eichelberger; his mother Zenobia LaRose; one daughter Shannon Eichelberger and a son in law Gary Roach.
